A sigh
That could obliterate the indestructible

That can crush any emotional-barrier

That seems beyond cruel
A fear
That is far out of control

It's impossible almost every night / You're the one who left me traumatized
As my lungs become EVER-so numb / This damage can NEVER be undone
Then my wounded memory floods / You will always be a part of my blood

Gasping for air
Holding my head
Afflicted by despair
I will never be able to forget

Living like this
One can only pretend
There is no such thing as darkness
But I knew I could not prevent the end

A part of me
Has that one wish
There was no tragedy

There's no such thing as blame
For all of the wrongs I've been dealt

Point the finger

And witness you antagonize another

And little did they know
They were only born to be scapegoats

That's the harsh way to say it
It's only because the truth is filled with hatred

Bystanders just turn a blind eye
As they feed their relief with made up lies

That's all they know how to do
They're too afraid of being dragged down with you

Living in my skin
It's like a severe drug addiction

It becomes lethal in the long run
It's a destruction that can't be undone

I am my own reaper

A scythe is my cross
This blasphemy cannot be stopped

Only those with true despair
Can wield this type of fear

For those who are born in sorrow
Know how to deal with living so hollowed

I had to cast aside my weak point of view
Because there are no demons nor angels

I am my own villain
I am my own hero

Although my perceptions of light and dark
Mean nothing to my already tainted heart

I know reality is what it needs to be
I know there was no hope for someone like

Are seen as abominations among humanity

I'm a another stereotype labeled by society

Even though I'm trying my best to just be me

I may not walk the same
But I still have my own path

I have my own footsteps to make
And my own happiness to grasp

You have your own narrow point of view
But I am just another human

So many words to be said / So much hate to be meant
Lash out towards the difference / Guilt trip my already-clouded conscience

I am not the one who is typical
I choose to look a different way

And ask what does a dictator always say?

This same old nightmare that I grimly fear
An image of my life haunted by your shadows

I'm frozen in place, waiting for daylight to soon appear
But I don't know if I'm ready to take on another loveless tomorrow

Why am I the one who suffers when you're not even really here?
I should not have to be the one inflicted by your falsely bestowed sorrow

Awake

Bestow me your fear

Give me something to fight for

Let the sleeping blood in my veins flare

So I can pick myself up and head towards the war

For the sun

I seek
Justice in thee

I fight
For our rights

Cries become faint! / Lies become replaced!
The sinners pretend to be saints! / All of their promises were fake!

Choose the battles to wage! / Use that stored up rage!
Put on your war paint! / Take back your pride today!

Wipe the grief from your face! / Idle no more is the phrase!
Don't let your name be disgraced! / Our gathered faith will never fade!

Act now before it's too late! / The government doesn't have a slate!
Don't fall victim to their cruel fate! / Don't let any more lives become erased!

The ones oppressed

I pray
For better days}

In this day and age

In the moonlight I howl
In the sunlight I rise

I fight again tomorrow
A war for our rights

I saw a protest sign that ended with "Wake your spirit"
Which meant wake up and support the movement for idle no more. For the cause needs all the help it can get. That sign inspired this piece. I hope you like it.

The cover art is done by me. It's a drum I made six years ago. It's unfinished because my brother shattered his hand and is unable to paint the rest of it. Picture taken with my Cell and uploaded to my pc. I manipulated it in photoshop CS5.
